Hello Torpedo Family! I hope everyone had a fantastic Independence Day!
The week ahead looks like we may be have a good run of no storms until Thursday, so we'll try to get in what we can. We'll make a call by 4pm Thursday if we are going to preemptively cancel the Granite Falls meet due to weather. If we start the meet, we will want to get through the backstroke events in order for the meet to count as a splash (meet swam) for Champs.
For the meets this week, we need to have everyone signed up by Tuesday night so we can meet entry deadlines, so please be sure to be signed up. I'll send a picture of the list Tuesday night to confirm who is coming.
We had several people inquire about shirts. We will be taking orders this week for anyone who didn't get one but wants one.
We're about halfway through our season, so I want us to start thinking about the Championship Meet. We did really well against all of the teams this past week at home, and if we can show up with good numbers, we will likely be in a good position to bring back the trophy. I need to ask you all to PLEASE try to attend if you can. Our 13 and Up swimmers will swim Friday night, and our 12 and Unders will swim on Saturday morning (We'd love to have some of our older swimmers come back and cheer on the young swimmers Saturday).
In order to participate, you need to have swam in 2 meets. We have two regular meet options before the champs meet (7/10 at Granite Falls, 7/15 at Forest City), and Sprint/Distance (for 11 and Up on 7/12) and Second Splash (7/19) on concurrent weekends. Please try to get in to that second meet so you can help us at Champs!
