The Week Ahead: June 22-June 27 (The Happy Father's Day Edition!)

Happy Father's Day, Torpedo Family!

We had a really good week, with a fun meet at McDowell and some great competition yesterday against Black Mountain and Forest City. Thank you again to everyone for helping volunteer at the meet Saturday and for the great competition! I want to give an especially big shout out to Hillary Platt for a fantastic performance of the National Anthem at yesterday's meet. Thank you!

This week our meets are in Lenoir on Tuesday and home on Saturday with McDowell, Shelby, and Watauga. I have closed entries for Tuesday, but I need to have entries for Saturday by Thursday morning. I would love us to have another fantastic home showing. We have a meet in Black Mountain on Tuesday night, June 30, so those entries will be due on Saturday after the home meet.

I will send out a Sign Up Genius for both meets this week for volunteers. I encourage everyone to find something they can help out with. We all have different strengths, and I think there is something everyone can do to assist at our meets. 

If you were wanting a t-shirt, please have those orders in at the pool calendar and paid for by Friday. I will be ordering them that afternoon. If you haven't gotten your shirt or cap from registration, please try to get with us one day this week or at the meet Saturday. 

As we approach July 4, I wanted to reiterate early that we will not have practices on Thursday, July 2-Tuesday, July 7. We will return to the water Wednesday morning, July 8. We have a meet in Granite Falls on Thursday night, July 9, so those entries will be due on Wednesday, July 1.
